šŸŽÆ ROLE OVERVIEW

The Airside Operations Manager will be responsible for overseeing the daily operations of our airside teams at regional airport hubs in the UK. This critical role ensures the safe and efficient movement of aircraft, passengers, and cargo on the airport apron and taxiways. The incumbent will report directly to the Airport Operations Director and will be a key member of our airport operations leadership team.

šŸ“‹ KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Coordinate with airport authorities, airline partners, and Delta's airside teams to ensure seamless airport operations.

Develop and implement airside operational procedures to improve efficiency, reduce congestion, and enhance safety.

Manage airside resources, including aircraft, vehicles, and equipment, to optimize usage and minimize costs.

Collaborate with Delta's airport facilities teams to ensure airside infrastructure is maintained to the highest standards.

Develop and implement airside training programs to ensure all staff are equipped to handle emergency situations and adhere to safety protocols.

Work closely with Delta's safety team to identify and mitigate risks associated with airside operations.

Coordinate with airport security and law enforcement agencies to ensure the security of aircraft, passengers, and airport assets.

Develop and track key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure airside operational performance.

āœ… REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

Minimum 5 years of experience in airside operations, airport management, or a related field.

Bachelor's degree in a relevant field, such as aviation management, operations management, or a related field.

Proven track record of managing airside operations, with a focus on safety, efficiency, and customer satisfaction.

Experience working with airport authorities, airlines, and other stakeholders to coordinate airside operations.

Demonstrated knowledge of aviation regulations, safety protocols, and security procedures.

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with stakeholders.

⭐ PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

Master's degree in a relevant field, such as aviation management or operations management.

Professional certifications, such as a Certified Airport Executive (CAE) or a Certified Safety Professional (CSP).

Experience working in a fast-paced, dynamic environment, with a focus on meeting deadlines and delivering results.

Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret data and make informed decisions.
