šÆ ROLE OVERVIEW
As our new Aviation Operations Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations of our flight schedule and resources at our UK airport base. Reporting directly to the Airport Manager, you will be the key contact for all operational decisions and will work closely with our dispatch team, pilots, and ground handlers to ensure smooth flight operations. Your primary focus will be on optimizing our flight schedules, managing ground handling and aircraft maintenance, and ensuring compliance with all aviation regulations.
š KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
⢠Develop and implement efficient flight schedules to minimize delays and costs
⢠Manage relationships with ground handlers and aircraft maintenance providers to ensure high standards of service
⢠Coordinate with dispatch team to optimize aircraft movements and minimize downtime
⢠Conduct regular audits to ensure compliance with aviation regulations and company policies
⢠Collaborate with pilots to implement new technologies and procedures to improve flight operations
⢠Develop and track key performance indicators (KPIs) to monitor flight schedule and resource utilization
⢠Manage and develop a team of flight coordinators to support the smooth operation of our flight schedule
⢠Work with airport stakeholders to ensure smooth airport operations and resolve any operational issues
⢠Conduct operational risk assessments and implement mitigation strategies
ā REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
⢠Bachelor's degree in Aviation, Business, or related field
⢠3+ years of experience in aviation operations, preferably in a management role
⢠Strong knowledge of aviation regulations, including EU-OPS and EU 965/2012
⢠Excellent communication and project management skills
⢠Proven ability to analyze complex data and develop insights
⢠Experience with airline operations software, such as Sabre or Navitaire
⢠Strong leadership and team management skills
ā PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
⢠Master's degree in Aviation or related field
⢠Experience working in a fast-paced, dynamic environment
⢠Familiarity with EU 965/2012 regulations
⢠Knowledge of airport operations and management
⢠Experience with data analytics and business intelligence tools

We offer a competitive salary range of £50,000 - £80,000 per year, depending on experience.
