šÆ ROLE OVERVIEW
As an Aviation Systems Integration Specialist, you will play a critical role in ensuring the safe and efficient operation of our aircraft maintenance systems. You will work closely with our maintenance teams, avionics technicians, and engineers to design, implement, and integrate new aircraft systems, including communication, navigation, and surveillance systems. You will report directly to the Manager of Aviation Systems Integration and will be responsible for delivering projects on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards.
š KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Design and implement new aircraft systems, including communication, navigation, and surveillance systems, in collaboration with our maintenance teams and avionics technicians.
- Develop and maintain technical documentation, including system specifications, installation guides, and maintenance procedures.
- Conduct thorough testing and validation of new systems to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and industry standards.
- Collaborate with our engineering teams to design and implement system upgrades, including the integration of new technologies and software.
- Provide training and support to our maintenance teams and avionics technicians on new systems and technologies.
- Stay up-to-date with the latest industry trends, technologies, and regulatory requirements, and apply this knowledge to improve our aircraft maintenance systems.
- Conduct root cause analysis of system failures and incidents, and implement corrective actions to prevent recurrence.
- Develop and maintain effective relationships with our vendors, suppliers, and industry partners to ensure timely delivery of new systems and technologies.
ā REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
- Bachelor's degree in a relevant field, such as aerospace engineering, electrical engineering, or computer science.
- 5+ years of experience in aircraft systems integration, avionics, or a related field.
- Proven experience with system design, implementation, and testing, including communication, navigation, and surveillance systems.
- Strong knowledge of regulatory requirements, including those of the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) and the European Aviation Safety Agency (EASA).
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with experience working with cross-functional teams and stakeholders.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to analyze complex system failures and develop effective solutions.
- Experience with aircraft maintenance management software and systems, including Maximo and SAP.
ā PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
- Master's degree in a relevant field.
- Certification in aircraft systems integration or a related field.
- Experience with agile project management methodologies, including Scrum and Kanban.
- Familiarity with DevOps practices and tools, including Jenkins and Docker.
