šÆ ROLE OVERVIEW
As a Barista Team Member - Customer Experience Specialist, you will be the face of Starbucks in our stores across the UK. You will work closely with our store managers to deliver exceptional customer experiences and drive sales growth through upselling, promotions and other initiatives. You will be responsible for managing store stock, maintaining store appearance and ensuring that our high standards of quality and service are met at all times. You will report to the Store Manager and work as part of a close-knit team to achieve sales targets and deliver customer satisfaction.
š KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
⢠Prepare and serve high-quality beverages to customers using our menu and procedures, ensuring that every drink is made to our exacting standards.
⢠Provide exceptional customer service, responding to customer queries and concerns in a friendly and professional manner.
⢠Upsell and promote our products and services to customers, identifying opportunities to increase sales and drive revenue growth.
⢠Manage store stock levels, ensuring that inventory is accurately recorded and that stock levels are maintained to meet customer demand.
⢠Maintain store appearance, ensuring that our stores are clean, tidy and welcoming for customers.
⢠Work closely with colleagues to achieve sales targets and deliver customer satisfaction.
⢠Participate in training and development programs to improve skills and knowledge.
⢠Maintain accurate records and reports, including sales data and customer feedback.
⢠Identify and report any operational or customer service issues to the Store Manager.
⢠Participate in store events and initiatives to promote customer engagement and loyalty.
ā REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
⢠1+ years of experience in a customer-facing role, preferably in the retail or hospitality industry.
⢠GCSEs or equivalent in English and maths.
⢠Basic numeracy and literacy skills.
⢠Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends and bank holidays.
⢠Availability to work evenings and early mornings.
⢠Ability to lift and carry up to 25kg.
⢠Valid food safety certification.
⢠Ability to communicate effectively with colleagues and customers.
ā PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
⢠2+ years of experience in a customer-facing role, preferably in the retail or hospitality industry.
⢠Previous experience in a leadership or supervisory role.
⢠Ability to work independently and make decisions.
⢠Basic computer skills, including Microsoft Office.
⢠Knowledge of our products and services.
⢠Ability to speak multiple languages.
⢠Previous experience in a fast-paced environment.
