🎯 ROLE OVERVIEW

As a Category Management Specialist - Private Label Product Development, you will play a key role in driving the growth and profitability of our private label product range. Working closely with cross-functional teams, you will analyze market trends, identify opportunities, and develop strategies to increase sales and improve customer satisfaction. Reporting directly to the Category Management Lead, you will be responsible for leading projects from concept to launch, collaborating with suppliers, and analyzing the performance of our private label products.

📋 KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Develop and execute category strategies to drive sales growth and profitability for private label products

• Conduct market research and trend analysis to inform product development and packaging innovation

• Collaborate with suppliers to negotiate pricing, product specifications, and supply chain logistics

• Conduct market tests and analyze results to inform product and packaging design

• Develop and manage category budgets, forecasts, and performance reports

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure smooth product launches and in-store promotions

• Analyze sales data and customer feedback to identify opportunities for product improvement

• Develop and maintain strong relationships with suppliers, stakeholders, and internal teams

✅ REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

• 5+ years of experience in category management, product development, or a related field

• Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, or a related field

• Proven track record of driving sales growth and profitability in a retail or FMCG environment

• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with experience in data analysis and market research

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with experience in stakeholder management and conflict resolution

• Knowledge of supply chain management and logistics is a plus

• Fluency in English and German languages

• MBA or advanced degree in Business, Marketing, or a related field

• Experience working with cross-functional teams and suppliers in a retail or FMCG environment

• Knowledge of product development, packaging design, and innovation processes

• Experience with market research tools and techniques, such as surveys, focus groups, and data analysis

• Familiarity with category management software and tools

💰 WHAT WE OFFER

As a Category Management Specialist - Private Label Product Development at ALDI, you can expect a competitive salary of €60,000 - €80,000 per year, depending on experience, plus a range of benefits, including 25-30 days of annual leave, health insurance, a retirement plan, and a learning and development budget.
