🎯 ROLE OVERVIEW

The Cloud Architect will be responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining Costco's cloud infrastructure to optimize our supply chain operations. This role will require collaboration with cross-functional teams, including IT, logistics, and procurement, to ensure seamless integration of cloud-based solutions. The Cloud Architect will report directly to the Director of IT and will be responsible for leading cloud migration projects and ensuring compliance with company policies and industry standards.

📋 KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Design and implement scalable cloud architecture to support Costco's supply chain operations

Develop and maintain cloud-based solutions for logistics, procurement, and inventory management

Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate cloud-based solutions with existing systems

Lead cloud migration projects and ensure seamless transition to cloud-based infrastructure

Ensure compliance with company policies and industry standards for cloud security and data protection

Develop and maintain cloud cost estimates and recommend cost-saving measures

Monitor and analyze cloud performance metrics to identify areas for improvement

✅ REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

8+ years of experience in cloud architecture, migration, and optimization

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field

AWS Certified Solutions Architect or equivalent certification

Proficient in cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud

Experience with containerization using Docker and Kubernetes

Strong understanding of cloud security, data protection, and compliance regulations

⭐ PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field

Certification in DevOps or cloud migration

Experience with big data analytics and machine learning

Familiarity with AWS Well-Architected Framework and AWS CloudFormation

💰 WHAT WE OFFER

$75,000 - $90,000 base salary, depending on experience
