šÆ ROLE OVERVIEW
As a Cloud Architect on our e-commerce platform, you will be responsible for designing and implementing scalable, secure, and highly available cloud-based solutions. You will work closely with our cross-functional teams to identify and prioritize business requirements, developing solutions that meet our customers' needs while ensuring alignment with our company's overall architecture strategy. This role reports directly to the Senior Director of Cloud Engineering and has a direct impact on the success of our global e-commerce platform, serving millions of customers every day. Your expertise will shape the future of our cloud infrastructure, enabling us to continue delivering exceptional customer experiences.
š KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
* Design and implement cloud-based solutions that meet the scalability, security, and performance requirements of our e-commerce platform.
* Collaborate with our business stakeholders to understand their needs and develop solutions that meet our company's overall architecture strategy.
* Lead the implementation of cloud-based infrastructure, including AWS services such as EC2, S3, and DynamoDB.
* Develop and maintain cloud architecture documentation, including technical designs, implementation plans, and deployment procedures.
* Work with our DevOps teams to ensure seamless deployment and scaling of our cloud-based applications.
* Identify and mitigate technical risks, ensuring the reliability and security of our cloud-based infrastructure.
* Provide guidance and support to junior engineers and other team members on cloud architecture and technology best practices.
* Stay up-to-date with the latest cloud technologies and industry trends, applying this knowledge to continuously improve our cloud infrastructure.
* Develop and deliver training and knowledge-sharing sessions to help the team improve their cloud skills.
* Collaborate with our security team to ensure the security and compliance of our cloud-based solutions.
ā REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
* 8+ years of experience in cloud architecture, engineering, or a related field.
* Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
* Proven experience with cloud-based platforms, including AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud.
* Expert-level knowledge of cloud computing, including scalability, reliability, and security.
* Strong experience with containerization using Docker and Kubernetes.
* Experience with AWS services such as EC2, S3, and DynamoDB.
* Strong understanding of cloud security principles and technologies.
* Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams.
ā PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
* Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
* 5+ years of experience in a leadership role, preferably in a cloud architecture or engineering team.
* Certification in cloud architecture, security, or engineering (e.g., AWS Certified Solutions Architect - Professional).
* Experience with cloud-based DevOps tools, such as Jenkins, GitLab, or CircleCI.
* Familiarity with agile methodologies and continuous integration/continuous deployment (CI/CD) pipelines.
