This is a unique opportunity to join our Aviation Technology team as a Cloud Architecture Lead, playing a critical role in shaping our cloud infrastructure and strategy. As a lead architect, you'll work closely with our engineering teams to design, deploy, and manage our cloud-based systems, ensuring they meet the needs of our business and our passengers. You'll report directly to our Director of Aviation Technology and will be part of a dynamic team that's responsible for delivering cutting-edge solutions to drive business growth and improve customer experience. This role has a significant impact on our business, as you'll be responsible for ensuring the scalability, reliability, and security of our cloud infrastructure, which underpins our entire technology stack.

šŸ“‹ KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

- Design and implement cloud architecture solutions that meet the needs of our business and our passengers.

- Collaborate with engineering teams to deploy and manage cloud-based systems, ensuring they meet service level agreements (SLAs) and are secure and reliable.

- Develop and maintain technical roadmaps and strategies for cloud infrastructure, aligned with business objectives and industry trends.

- Work with cross-functional teams to identify and prioritize technical requirements, ensuring alignment with business needs.

- Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and industry standards for cloud infrastructure.

- Provide technical leadership and mentorship to junior team members, promoting knowledge sharing and best practices.

- Conduct regular reviews and retrospectives to identify areas for improvement and drive continuous improvement.

- Stay up-to-date with emerging technologies and industry trends, applying knowledge to drive innovation and improvement.

- Collaborate with our security and compliance teams to ensure our cloud infrastructure meets security and compliance requirements.

- Develop and maintain documentation for cloud architecture, ensuring it's up-to-date and easily accessible.

- Participate in on-call rotations and provide 24/7 support for cloud infrastructure, responding to incidents and resolving issues quickly.

- Engage with stakeholders to understand their needs and priorities, ensuring our cloud architecture meets their requirements.

āœ… REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

- 8+ years of experience in cloud architecture, with a focus on designing and implementing cloud-based systems.

- Proven experience in leading cloud architecture initiatives, with a track record of delivering successful projects.

- Strong technical skills in cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, Google Cloud), containerization (Docker, Kubernetes), and serverless computing (AWS Lambda, Azure Functions).

- Experience with cloud security and compliance frameworks, such as AWS Well-Architected Framework and Azure Security and Compliance Center.

- Strong knowledge of DevOps practices, including continuous integration and continuous delivery (CI/CD).

- Experience with agile methodologies, such as Scrum and Kanban.

- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams.

- Strong problem-solving skills, with the ability to analyze complex technical issues and develop creative solutions.

- Experience with cloud cost optimization and rightsizing.

- Familiarity with cloud-based monitoring and logging tools, such as AWS CloudWatch and Azure Monitor.

- Experience with cloud-based continuous integration and continuous delivery (CI/CD) tools, such as Jenkins and GitHub Actions.

- Strong knowledge of containerization and Kubernetes, with experience in designing and implementing containerized applications.

- Experience with serverless computing and cloud-based event-driven architectures.
