🎯 ROLE OVERVIEW

As a Cloud Architecture Lead, you will play a key role in leading our UK Financial Services team in designing and implementing cloud-based solutions that meet the evolving needs of our customers. Reporting to the Head of Cloud Engineering, you will work closely with cross-functional teams to develop and implement cloud architecture strategies, ensuring scalability, security, and compliance with regulatory requirements.

📋 KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Design and implement cloud-based architectures for our UK Financial Services business, ensuring alignment with our overall cloud strategy.

Develop and maintain relationships with key stakeholders, including business leaders, IT teams, and external partners.

Collaborate with development teams to design and implement cloud-native applications, ensuring scalability and efficiency.

Lead the migration of existing on-premises applications to cloud-based platforms, ensuring seamless service continuity.

Develop and implement cloud security and compliance strategies, ensuring adherence to regulatory requirements.

Collaborate with our cloud service providers to negotiate and manage cloud contracts, ensuring cost-effectiveness and optimal service delivery.

Develop and manage the cloud architecture budget, ensuring efficient use of resources.

Provide technical guidance and support to junior team members, promoting knowledge sharing and skills development.

✅ REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

8+ years of experience in cloud architecture, with a proven track record of designing and implementing cloud-based solutions.

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.

Strong knowledge of cloud platforms, including AWS, Azure, and Google Cloud.

Experience with cloud security and compliance frameworks, including PCI-DSS and GDPR.

Proven experience in leading cross-functional teams and collaborating with stakeholders at all levels.

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to communicate complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.

⭐ PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.

Certification in cloud architecture, such as AWS Certified Solutions Architect or Microsoft Certified Azure Solutions Architect.

Experience with DevOps tools and practices, including containerization and continuous integration.

Strong knowledge of agile development methodologies, including Scrum and Kanban.

💰 WHAT WE OFFER

We offer a competitive salary range of £50,000 - £80,000 per annum, plus a comprehensive benefits package, including health insurance, retirement plan, and generous vacation days.
