šÆ ROLE OVERVIEW
As a Cloud-Based Content Delivery Specialist, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth and efficient delivery of our online content to millions of users across Europe. You will work closely with our global team of engineers and operations experts to design, implement, and optimize our cloud-based content delivery infrastructure, and ensure that it meets the highest standards of performance, security, and reliability. You will report to our Senior Manager of Content Delivery, and will have the opportunity to work on a wide range of projects, from upgrading our cloud infrastructure to implementing new content delivery technologies.
š KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Design and implement cloud-based content delivery infrastructure to support our online streaming service, including Amazon Web Services (AWS) and Microsoft Azure.
Collaborate with our global team of engineers and operations experts to ensure that our content delivery infrastructure meets the highest standards of performance, security, and reliability.
Develop and implement procedures for monitoring and troubleshooting content delivery issues, and work with our team to resolve issues quickly and efficiently.
Work with our content acquisition and licensing teams to ensure that our content delivery infrastructure is optimized for our global content library.
Develop and implement strategies for optimizing our content delivery infrastructure, including caching, CDNs, and peer-to-peer technologies.
Collaborate with our security team to ensure that our content delivery infrastructure is secure and compliant with industry regulations.
Develop and implement procedures for testing and validating our content delivery infrastructure, and work with our team to ensure that it meets the highest standards of quality and reliability.
Collaborate with our customer support team to ensure that our content delivery infrastructure is providing the best possible user experience.
ā REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
5+ years of experience in cloud computing and content delivery, including experience with AWS and Azure.
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field.
Excellent understanding of cloud-based content delivery technologies, including CDNs, caching, and peer-to-peer networks.
Experience with AWS and Azure services, including EC2, S3, and Route 53.
Excellent problem-solving skills, with the ability to troubleshoot complex technical issues.
Strong communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams.
ā PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
Master's degree in Computer Science or related field.
Experience with content delivery networks, including Akamai and Limelight.
Experience with containerization and orchestration technologies, including Docker and Kubernetes.
Experience with cloud-native applications, including serverless computing and event-driven architectures.
Certification in cloud computing, including AWS Certified Cloud Practitioner or Azure Certified Cloud Engineer.
