šÆ ROLE OVERVIEW
As the Cloud-Based Data Science Platform Lead on our Insurance Analytics team, you will be responsible for overseeing the development and deployment of our cloud-based data science platform. This platform will enable our analysts to work more efficiently and effectively, making it possible for us to deliver better insights and results to our customers. You will work closely with our data science team to design and implement the platform, and will be responsible for ensuring that it meets the needs of our business. You will report to the Director of Data Science, and will have the opportunity to make a significant impact on our ability to deliver value to our customers.
š KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Design and implement a cloud-based data science platform that meets the needs of our business. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure that the platform is integrated with our existing data systems and tools. Develop and implement data governance policies and procedures to ensure that our data is secure and compliant with regulatory requirements. Work with our data science team to design and implement data models and algorithms that meet the needs of our business. Develop and maintain documentation for the platform, including user guides and technical documentation. Identify opportunities to improve the efficiency and effectiveness of our data science operations, and implement changes as needed. Develop and maintain relationships with key stakeholders, including data science team members, IT teams, and business leaders. Stay up-to-date with the latest developments in cloud-based data science technologies and implement best practices in our platform.
ā REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
5+ years of experience in data science or a related field. MBA or Master's degree in a technical field. Strong expertise in cloud-based data science platforms, including design, implementation, and deployment. Experience with data governance and compliance regulations. Strong experience with data modeling and algorithm development. Experience with documentation and user guide development. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Strong communication and collaboration skills.
ā PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
Experience with cloud-based data science platforms such as AWS or Google Cloud. Experience with data visualization tools such as Tableau or Power BI. Strong expertise in machine learning and deep learning algorithms. Experience with DevOps and continuous integration/continuous deployment (CI/CD) pipelines. Strong experience with data governance and compliance regulations such as GDPR.
