🎯 ROLE OVERVIEW

As a Cloud-Based Enterprise Solutions Architect for E-Commerce Platform Development, you will play a critical role in designing, implementing, and maintaining a scalable, secure, and high-performance e-commerce platform for CostCo UK. You will work closely with cross-functional teams, including IT, Merchandising, and Marketing, to drive business growth and improve customer experience. Reporting to the Director of Digital Transformation, you will be responsible for developing and executing cloud strategy, ensuring seamless integration with existing systems, and providing technical guidance to stakeholders.

📋 KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

- Design and implement a scalable, secure, and high-performance e-commerce platform on Amazon Web Services (AWS) or Microsoft Azure, meeting the needs of CostCo's business growth and customer experience demands.

- Collaborate with the IT and Merchandising teams to integrate the e-commerce platform with existing systems, ensuring seamless data exchange and minimal downtime.

- Develop and maintain a cloud strategy, aligning with business objectives and technical capabilities.

- Provide technical guidance to stakeholders, including IT, Merchandising, and Marketing teams, on cloud adoption, migration, and operational best practices.

- Work closely with the DevOps team to ensure continuous integration, delivery, and deployment (CI/CD) pipelines are in place, enabling rapid release and deployment of new features and updates.

- Collaborate with security teams to ensure the e-commerce platform meets the highest security standards and compliance requirements.

- Develop and maintain a cloud cost optimization strategy, ensuring cost savings and efficient resource allocation.

- Collaborate with the cloud infrastructure teams to ensure scalability, high availability, and disaster recovery planning.

✅ REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.

- Minimum 8 years of experience in cloud architecture, design, and implementation, with a focus on e-commerce platforms.

- Proven experience with cloud service providers, such as AWS or Azure, with expertise in cloud security, cost optimization, and scalability.

- Strong understanding of DevOps practices, including CI/CD pipelines, containerization, and orchestration.

- Experience with cloud-based databases, such as Amazon Aurora or Azure SQL Database.

- Strong communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to work with cross-functional teams.

- Proficiency in cloud security best practices, including identity and access management, encryption, and vulnerability management.

- Experience with cloud migration and modernization, including workload assessment, migration planning, and execution.

- Strong problem-solving skills, with the ability to troubleshoot complex technical issues.

⭐ PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

- Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.

- Experience with cloud-based machine learning and artificial intelligence (AI) platforms.

- Knowledge of cloud-based data analytics and business intelligence (BI) platforms.

- Experience with containerization using Docker or Kubernetes.

💰 WHAT WE OFFER

CostCo is committed to offering a comprehensive compensation package, including a salary range of £55,000 to £80,000 per annum, depending on experience, a competitive pension scheme, and a generous annual leave policy.
