šÆ ROLE OVERVIEW
The Cloud-Based Pharmacy Operations Manager will play a key role in driving the strategic direction and implementation of Walgreens' cloud-based pharmacy operations in Nigeria. Reporting directly to the Regional Director, this individual will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of our pharmacy systems, managing a team of operations specialists, and developing and implementing process improvements to enhance efficiency and customer experience. As a key member of the operations team, the Cloud-Based Pharmacy Operations Manager will have a significant impact on the company's ability to provide excellent customer service, drive sales growth, and maintain a competitive edge in the market.
š KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
* Develop and execute a cloud-based pharmacy operations strategy that aligns with the company's overall objectives and goals.
* Manage a team of operations specialists, providing coaching, guidance, and performance feedback to ensure excellent performance and high job satisfaction.
* Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including IT, logistics, and customer service, to resolve operational issues and implement process improvements.
* Conduct regular audits and assessments to ensure compliance with company policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements.
* Analyze data and metrics to identify trends, areas for improvement, and opportunities for growth, and develop recommendations for process enhancements.
* Develop and maintain relationships with key stakeholders, including store managers, district managers, and regional directors, to ensure effective communication and alignment.
* Stay up-to-date with industry trends, best practices, and emerging technologies, and apply this knowledge to drive innovation and improvement in pharmacy operations.
* Conduct root cause analysis and implement corrective actions to address operational issues and ensure compliance with company standards.
* Collaborate with the IT team to troubleshoot and resolve technical issues related to pharmacy systems and applications.
* Develop and implement training programs to ensure that operations specialists have the necessary skills and knowledge to perform their duties effectively.
* Conduct regular performance metrics analysis and provide actionable insights to the Regional Director and other senior leaders.
* Drive process improvement initiatives to increase efficiency, reduce costs, and enhance customer satisfaction.
* Develop and maintain comprehensive documentation of pharmacy operations policies, procedures, and best practices.
ā REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
* 5+ years of experience in a leadership role, preferably in a retail or pharmacy environment.
* Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Operations Management, or a related field.
* Proven track record of driving process improvements, increasing efficiency, and reducing costs.
* Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to collect and analyze data to inform decision-making.
* Excellent communication, interpersonal, and leadership skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire a team.
* Experience with cloud-based technologies and pharmacy systems, such as Epicor or similar.
* Strong knowledge of Nigerian regulatory requirements and industry standards for pharmacy operations.
* Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and adapt to changing priorities and deadlines.
ā PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
* Master's degree in Business Administration, Operations Management, or a related field.
* Experience with change management and organizational development.
* Certification in Lean Six Sigma or a related quality management methodology.
* Proven experience in a similar role within a similar industry.
