🎯 ROLE OVERVIEW

As a Cloud-Based Postal Operations Specialist, this role is responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of USPS's digital infrastructure. You will be working closely with the IT team to resolve technical issues, implement software updates, and optimize system performance. This position will report directly to the Manager of Digital Operations and will have a significant impact on the overall customer experience.

📋 KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

* Design, develop, and maintain cloud-based solutions for USPS's postal operations, including APIs, microservices, and event-driven architectures.

* Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify and prioritize technical requirements, and implement solutions to meet business needs.

* Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues with USPS's digital platforms, and provide expert-level support to internal stakeholders.

* Stay up-to-date with industry trends and emerging technologies, and make recommendations for future infrastructure investments.

* Develop and maintain documentation, procedures, and training materials for internal teams.

* Conduct regular performance monitoring and reporting to identify areas for improvement.

* Collaborate with USPS's partners to integrate their solutions with our digital platforms.

* Develop and implement policies and procedures for digital infrastructure maintenance and upgrades.

* Conduct technical assessments and provide recommendations for process improvements.

* Develop and maintain relationships with USPS's technology vendors.

✅ REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

* 5+ years of experience in cloud-based operations, infrastructure management, or software development.

* Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.

* Strong understanding of cloud computing platforms, including AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud.

* Experience with containerization, DevOps, and continuous integration/continuous deployment (CI/CD) methodologies.

* Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills, with the ability to troubleshoot complex technical issues.

* Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams.

* Proficiency in programming languages such as Java, Python, or C#.NET.

* Familiarity with postal operations and logistics is a plus.
