🎯 ROLE OVERVIEW

As a Cloud Computing Operations Specialist on our Location Data Platform team, you will play a key role in ensuring the seamless operation and scalability of our cloud infrastructure, enabling us to provide high-quality location data to our users. Reporting to the Senior Operations Manager, you will be responsible for monitoring and optimizing our cloud resources, implementing infrastructure changes, and collaborating with development teams to resolve incidents and improve system efficiency. Your expertise will help drive business growth while maintaining the highest level of service quality.

📋 KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

-Design, implement, and maintain cloud infrastructure architectures to support our Location Data Platform, ensuring scalability, reliability, and security.

-Proactively monitor cloud resources, performing capacity planning, and implementing changes to optimize performance and reduce costs.

-Develop and maintain automated tools for infrastructure management, deployment, and monitoring.

-Work closely with development teams to resolve production incidents, implement fixes, and improve system efficiency.

-Collaborate with the Platform Engineering team to design and implement new features, services, and tools.

-Develop and maintain documentation for cloud infrastructure architecture, operations, and procedures.

-Conduct regular review and analysis of our cloud usage, identifying opportunities for cost savings and efficiency gains.

-Act as a subject matter expert for cloud computing and infrastructure operations within the team.

-Stay up-to-date with emerging cloud technologies, best practices, and industry trends.

✅ REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

-4+ years of experience in cloud computing operations, architecture, or engineering.

-Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.

-Proven experience with cloud providers (AWS, GCP, Azure), containerization (Docker), and orchestration (Kubernetes, Helm).

-Solid understanding of cloud security, compliance, and risk management principles.

-Strong problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and ability to work in a fast-paced environment.

-Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with experience working with cross-functional teams.

⭐ PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

-Cloud computing certifications (AWS Certified Solutions Architect - Associate, Google Cloud Certified - Professional Cloud Developer).

-Experience with DevOps practices, CI/CD pipelines, and continuous integration.

-Familiarity with container security and vulnerability management.

-Strong understanding of data storage and database management systems.

💰 WHAT WE OFFER

-Yelp offers a competitive salary of £55,000-£75,000 per annum, based on experience.
