šÆ ROLE OVERVIEW
As a Cloud Content Operations Manager, you will be responsible for leading a team of engineers and operations specialists to design, build, and maintain the cloud infrastructure that powers YouTube's content operations. You will report directly to the Director of Cloud Engineering and will work closely with cross-functional teams to identify and prioritize projects that drive business growth and user engagement. Your goal will be to ensure that our content operations are scalable, reliable, and efficient, with a focus on delivering high-quality user experiences.
š KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
⢠Design and implement cloud infrastructure solutions that meet the needs of YouTube's content operations teams.
⢠Lead a team of engineers and operations specialists to develop and maintain cloud-based systems and tools.
⢠Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify and prioritize projects that drive business growth and user engagement.
⢠Develop and implement metrics and monitoring tools to ensure the reliability and performance of our cloud infrastructure.
⢠Work with the broader YouTube engineering team to identify opportunities for innovation and technical excellence.
⢠Develop and maintain technical documentation and knowledge bases to ensure consistency and knowledge sharing across the team.
⢠Collaborate with the YouTube product and design teams to ensure that our content operations are aligned with user needs and expectations.
⢠Develop and maintain relationships with key stakeholders across the organization to ensure alignment and support for cloud infrastructure initiatives.
⢠Stay up-to-date with industry trends and emerging technologies to identify opportunities for innovation and technical excellence.
ā REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
⢠8+ years of experience in cloud engineering, operations, or a related field.
⢠Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
⢠Proven experience with cloud infrastructure technologies such as AWS, GCP, or Azure.
⢠Experience with containerization using Docker and Kubernetes.
⢠Expertise in cloud security and compliance.
⢠Strong leadership and team management skills.
⢠Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
⢠Experience with Agile development methodologies and version control systems.
ā PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
⢠Experience with YouTube's content operations or related systems.
⢠Experience with machine learning or data engineering.
⢠Certification in cloud security or compliance.
⢠Experience with DevOps and continuous integration.
