🎯 ROLE OVERVIEW

As a Cloud Cost Optimization Specialist, you will play a critical role in optimizing our cloud infrastructure costs while ensuring high service availability and performance. Reporting to the Director of Cloud Engineering, you will work closely with cross-functional teams to drive cost savings and improve cloud resource utilization. Your expertise will help us make informed decisions about cloud spending and resource allocation.

📋 KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

. Conduct regular cloud cost reviews to identify areas of inefficiency and opportunities for optimization.. Develop and implement strategies to reduce cloud costs, including right-sizing resources, adopting cost-effective cloud services, and optimizing cloud provider pricing.. Work with development teams to design cloud infrastructure that aligns with cost optimization goals.. Collaborate with the finance team to ensure accurate cloud cost tracking and forecasting.. Develop and maintain technical documentation for cloud cost optimization processes and procedures.. Analyze cloud usage and cost data to identify trends and areas for improvement.. Provide recommendations to senior leadership on cloud cost optimization strategies and initiatives.. Stay up-to-date with the latest cloud cost optimization technologies and best practices.

✅ REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

5+ years of experience in cloud cost optimization, cloud engineering, or a related field.. Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.. Expert knowledge of cloud cost optimization tools and platforms, including AWS Cost Explorer and Azure Cost Estimator.. Experience with cloud resource management and optimization, including rightsizing and scaling.. Proficiency in scripting languages such as Python, PowerShell, or Bash.. Strong understanding of cloud provider pricing models and cost structures.. Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret complex data and develop actionable recommendations.

⭐ PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

Certifications in cloud cost optimization, such as AWS Certified Cloud Practitioner or Azure Certified Solutions Architect.. Experience with cloud automation and orchestration tools, such as Terraform or Ansible.. Strong understanding of cloud security and compliance requirements.. Familiarity with containerization and orchestration technologies, such as Docker and Kubernetes.. Experience with cloud cost optimization tools, such as CloudCheckr or ParkMyCloud.

💰 WHAT WE OFFER
