🎯 ROLE OVERVIEW

The Cloud Data Architect - Digital Commerce Solutions role is a critical position within the Publix Technology organization, responsible for designing and implementing scalable, cloud-based data architectures to support the company's digital commerce initiatives. Reporting to the Director of Engineering, this individual will work closely with cross-functional teams to develop data-driven solutions, ensuring seamless integration with existing systems and infrastructure.

As a key member of the Data Engineering team, the Cloud Data Architect will play a vital role in shaping Publix's digital commerce strategy, driving business growth through data-informed decision-making, and enhancing the customer experience.

📋 KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

. Design and implement cloud-based data architectures to support digital commerce initiatives, ensuring scalability, security, and high availability. . Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop data-driven solutions, including product development, marketing, and analytics. . Develop and maintain data models, data warehouses, and data pipelines to support business intelligence and analytics. . Ensure data quality, integrity, and security through robust data governance and compliance frameworks. . Stay up-to-date with emerging trends and technologies in cloud data architecture, big data, and data science, identifying opportunities to drive innovation and improvement. . Contribute to the development of technical standards, best practices, and knowledge sharing within the Data Engineering team.

✅ REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

. 10+ years of experience in cloud data architecture, data engineering, or a related field. . Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field. . Proven expertise in cloud data platforms, including AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud Platform. . Strong understanding of data modeling, data warehousing, and data pipeline development. . Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with experience working in cross-functional teams.

. Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field. . Certification in data architecture, data engineering, or a related field. .
