šŸŽÆ ROLE OVERVIEW

As a Cloud Data Architect at Front, you will play a critical role in designing and implementing our cloud-based data infrastructure. You will be responsible for ensuring the scalability, security, and reliability of our data systems, while also driving innovation and improvement through data-driven decision making. You will report directly to our Head of Engineering, and work closely with our cross-functional teams to develop and implement data strategies that drive business growth and customer satisfaction.

šŸ“‹ KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

- Design and implement scalable, secure, and reliable data systems on cloud platforms such as AWS and GCP.

- Collaborate with our engineering teams to develop and implement data pipelines, architectures, and tools that support business needs.

- Develop and maintain data quality, governance, and compliance policies and procedures.

- Work with our product team to design and implement data-driven features that drive customer engagement and growth.

- Provide technical guidance and support to our data engineering and analytics teams.

- Stay up-to-date with emerging trends and technologies in data architecture and engineering, and apply that knowledge to drive innovation and improvement.

- Develop and maintain documentation of data systems, architectures, and processes.

- Collaborate with our security and compliance teams to ensure data systems meet or exceed regulatory requirements.

- Work with our DevOps team to develop and implement continuous integration and delivery pipelines for data applications.

- Develop and maintain metrics and dashboards to measure data system performance and health.

- Collaborate with our data scientists and analysts to develop and implement data-driven models and analytics.

- Participate in on-call rotation and provide support for data system incidents and outages.

- Develop and maintain relationships with cloud providers and other external partners to ensure optimal utilization of cloud resources.

- Develop and maintain knowledge of cloud security, compliance, and regulatory requirements.

āœ… REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

- 8+ years of experience in cloud data architecture, engineering, or a related field.

- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.

- Strong knowledge of cloud platforms, including AWS and GCP.

- Experience with data warehousing, ETL, and data governance.

- Strong understanding of data security, compliance, and regulatory requirements.

- Experience with cloud data storage solutions, such as S3 and Bigtable.

- Strong understanding of data architectures and patterns.

- Experience with data streaming and messaging technologies, such as Apache Kafka.

- Strong understanding of data quality and governance principles.

- Experience with data visualization tools, such as Tableau or Power BI.

- Strong understanding of cloud security and compliance requirements.

⭐ PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

- Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.

- Experience with cloud providers, such as AWS and GCP.

- Strong understanding of machine learning and data science concepts.

- Experience with data engineering and analytics tools, such as Apache Beam.

- Strong understanding of cloud security and compliance frameworks, such as PCI-DSS.

We offer a highly competitive salary ranging from £55,000 to £85,000 per annum, depending on experience. We also offer a comprehensive benefits package, including health insurance, retirement plan, and 25 days of annual leave.
