🎯 ROLE OVERVIEW

As a Cloud Data Engineer (Data Science) on our AI-Powered Research team, you'll play a critical role in designing and building scalable data architectures to support our cutting-edge AI research initiatives. You'll work closely with our data scientists and engineers to develop and deploy data pipelines, and collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless integration with our AI applications. You'll report directly to our Senior Data Engineer, and will have the opportunity to make a significant impact on the success of our AI research projects.

📋 KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

* Design and implement scalable data architectures to support AI research initiatives, including data warehousing, ETL processes, and data quality controls.

* Develop and deploy data pipelines to support data science workloads, including data ingestion, processing, and storage.

* Collaborate with data scientists and engineers to develop data models and pipelines to support AI applications.

* Ensure data quality, security, and compliance with regulatory requirements, including GDPR and HIPAA.

* Develop and maintain data visualizations and reports to support data-driven decision-making.

* Participate in code reviews and contribute to the development of high-quality, scalable code.

* Stay up-to-date with emerging trends and technologies in data engineering and AI.

* Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless integration with AI applications.

* Develop and maintain documentation of data architectures, pipelines, and data models.

* Identify and address data-related issues, and provide recommendations for process improvements.

* Collaborate with data governance team to ensure data quality, security, and compliance with regulatory requirements.

* Develop and maintain data security policies and procedures to ensure the security of sensitive data.

* Develop and maintain data backup and recovery procedures to ensure business continuity.

* Collaborate with cloud engineering team to develop and maintain cloud-based infrastructure, including AWS and Azure.

* Develop and maintain data architecture diagrams and documentation to support data-driven decision-making.

* Stay up-to-date with AWS and Azure cloud services, including data engineering and AI services.

* Develop and maintain knowledge sharing documentation to support knowledge transfer and collaboration.

* Participate in Agile development methodologies to prioritize work and meet project deadlines.

* Collaborate with other teams to ensure seamless integration with other teams.

* Develop and maintain relationships with stakeholders to ensure data meets business needs.

✅ REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

* 5+ years of experience in data engineering, with a focus on cloud-based infrastructure and data processing.

* Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Data Science, or related field.

* Expert-level knowledge of cloud-based data engineering, including AWS and Azure.

* Strong understanding of data modeling, data warehousing, and ETL processes.

* Experience with data governance, data security, and compliance with regulatory requirements.

* Strong programming skills in languages such as Python, Java, or C++.

* Experience with data visualization tools, such as Tableau or Power BI.

* Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with ability to identify and address data-related issues.

* Experience with Agile development methodologies and prioritizing work to meet project deadlines.

⭐ PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

* Master's degree in Computer Science, Data Science, or related field.

* Experience with machine learning and AI technologies, including deep learning and natural language processing.

* Strong knowledge of data governance, data security, and compliance with regulatory requirements.

* Experience with cloud-based data engineering tools, such as AWS Lake Formation or Azure Synapse Analytics.

* Strong understanding of data architecture and data governance.

* Experience with data security policies and procedures, including cloud-based data security.

💰 WHAT WE OFFER

As a Cloud Data Engineer (Data Science) on our AI-Powered Research team, you'll be eligible for a competitive salary range of $70,000 - $90,000 per year, based on experience. You'll also receive a comprehensive benefits package, including health insurance, retirement plan, and vacation days.
