šÆ ROLE OVERVIEW
As a Cloud Data Engineer at Taco Bell UK Operations, you'll play a key role in our company's digital transformation, working closely with our data analytics team to design, develop, and maintain cloud-based data systems that support our business growth. Reporting to our Senior Manager of Data Analytics, you'll have a significant impact on our ability to make data-driven decisions, drive sales, and improve customer experience.
š KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Design and implement scalable, secure, and highly available cloud-based data systems on AWS or Azure, leveraging big data tools like Hadoop, Spark, and NoSQL databases.
Develop and maintain ETL processes to extract, transform, and load data from various sources, ensuring data quality and integrity.
Collaborate with data scientists and analysts to create data visualizations and reports, using technologies like Tableau, Power BI, or D3.js.
Design and implement data pipelines to support real-time analytics and machine learning applications.
Work closely with our DevOps team to ensure smooth deployment, monitoring, and maintenance of cloud-based data systems.
Develop and maintain cloud-based data quality and governance processes to ensure data accuracy and compliance with regulatory requirements.
ā REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
8+ years of experience in cloud data engineering, with a strong background in designing and implementing cloud-based data systems.
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.
In-depth knowledge of cloud platforms like AWS or Azure, as well as big data tools like Hadoop, Spark, and NoSQL databases.
Experience with data visualization tools like Tableau, Power BI, or D3.js.
Certification in cloud computing or data engineering (e.g. AWS Certified Developer or Azure Certified Data Engineer).
ā PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.
Experience with containers like Docker or Kubernetes.
Familiarity with data warehousing and business intelligence tools like Data Lake or Power BI.
Certification in data science or machine learning (e.g. Certified Data Scientist or Certified Machine Learning Engineer).
