šÆ ROLE OVERVIEW
As a Cloud Data Specialist at Disney, you will play a critical role in supporting our company's cloud infrastructure and data analytics initiatives. You will work closely with our data engineering team to design, implement, and maintain scalable and secure cloud-based data solutions, leveraging technologies such as Amazon Web Services (AWS) and Google Cloud Platform (GCP). This role exists to ensure the seamless integration of our data platforms and provide exceptional support to our stakeholders across the organization.
š KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
As a Cloud Data Specialist, your primary responsibilities will be to:
- Design and implement cloud-based data architectures and solutions using AWS and GCP
- Develop and maintain data pipelines, including data ingestion, processing, and storage
- Collaborate with data engineers to develop and deploy data models, algorithms, and machine learning models
- Ensure data consistency, quality, and security across all data systems
- Provide exceptional support to stakeholders, including data analysts, scientists, and engineers
- Develop and maintain technical documentation and knowledge base
- Participate in on-call rotations to provide 24/7 support for critical systems
- Stay up-to-date with the latest cloud and data technologies, and apply that knowledge to improve our data solutions
ā REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
To be successful as a Cloud Data Specialist at Disney, you must have:
- 3+ years of experience in cloud data engineering, with a focus on AWS and GCP
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or related field
- Strong understanding of cloud-based data architectures and data pipelines
- Experience with data modeling, data warehousing, and data governance
- Proficiency in programming languages such as Python, Java, and SQL
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to communicate complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders
ā PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
- Master's degree in Computer Science, Data Science, or related field
- Experience with data engineering tools such as Apache Beam, Apache Airflow, and AWS Glue
- Certification in cloud computing, data engineering, or data science
- Experience with big data technologies such as Hadoop, Spark, and NoSQL databases
