🎯 ROLE OVERVIEW

As the Cloud Gaming Infrastructure Operations Manager, you will play a critical role in ensuring the smooth operation of Xbox's cloud gaming infrastructure. You will report to the Director of Cloud Operations and will be responsible for overseeing the day-to-day activities of the cloud infrastructure team. Your success will have a direct impact on the gaming experience of millions of Xbox subscribers worldwide.

📋 KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

- Design and implement scalable cloud infrastructure solutions to support the growing demands of Xbox Live and Xbox Game Pass.

- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless integration of cloud infrastructure with other Xbox services.

- Develop and maintain detailed documentation of cloud infrastructure architecture and operations procedures.

- Identify and mitigate potential risks and issues related to cloud infrastructure, including security, compliance, and performance.

- Work closely with the cloud infrastructure engineering team to resolve complex technical issues and implement new features.

- Develop and execute plans to improve cloud infrastructure efficiency, reliability, and scalability.

- Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior team members.

- Participate in on-call rotation and provide 24/7 support for cloud infrastructure.

- Conduct regular reviews and analysis of cloud infrastructure performance and make recommendations for improvement.

✅ REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

- 8+ years of experience in cloud infrastructure operations, with a focus on scalability, reliability, and performance.

- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.

- Strong experience with cloud infrastructure management tools, including AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud Platform.

- In-depth knowledge of cloud computing concepts, including scalability, high availability, and security.

- Experience with containerization and orchestration technologies, such as Kubernetes.

- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to troubleshoot complex technical issues.

- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams.

⭐ PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

- Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.

- Experience with DevOps practices and tools, including CI/CD pipelines and containerization.

- Knowledge of cloud security and compliance best practices.

- Experience with cloud monitoring and logging tools, including Splunk and ELK Stack.

- Familiarity with agile project management methodologies.

- Competitive salary range of £55,000 - £75,000 per annum, depending on experience.
