🎯 ROLE OVERVIEW

We are seeking a highly experienced Cloud Infrastructure Architect to join our Meta Payments team, specifically to support our expansion into the UK market. As a cloud architect, you will be responsible for designing and implementing scalable, secure and high-performance cloud infrastructure solutions to support our rapidly growing payment processing volumes. You will work closely with our engineering and product teams to understand their infrastructure requirements and design solutions that meet their needs. You will also collaborate with our security and compliance teams to ensure that our infrastructure meets the highest standards of security and regulatory compliance. This is a critical role that requires a strong technical background, excellent collaboration skills and a deep understanding of cloud infrastructure and security principles.

📋 KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Design and implement scalable, secure and high-performance cloud infrastructure solutions to support payment processing volumes.

Collaborate with engineering and product teams to understand their infrastructure requirements and design solutions that meet their needs.

Work closely with security and compliance teams to ensure that our infrastructure meets the highest standards of security and regulatory compliance.

Develop and maintain detailed technical documentation of cloud infrastructure designs and implementation plans.

Collaborate with cross-functional teams to resolve infrastructure-related issues and improve overall infrastructure stability and performance.

Design and implement infrastructure disaster recovery and business continuity plans.

Stay up-to-date with the latest cloud infrastructure trends and technologies, and make recommendations for their adoption.

✅ REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

8+ years of experience in designing and implementing cloud infrastructure solutions.

Strong experience with AWS and Azure cloud platforms, including IaaS, PaaS and SaaS offerings.

Deep understanding of cloud security principles and experience with implementing security controls in cloud environments.

Strong collaboration and communication skills, with experience working with cross-functional teams.

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related field.

⭐ PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

Experience with containerization and orchestration technologies such as Kubernetes.

Experience with DevOps practices and tools such as CI/CD pipelines and monitoring and logging tools.

Certifications in cloud computing or security, such as AWS Certified Solutions Architect or CISSP.

💰 WHAT WE OFFER

We offer a highly competitive salary range of £60,000 - £80,000 per annum, depending on experience.
