🎯 ROLE OVERVIEW

As a Cloud Infrastructure Engineer - Data Analytics for Retail, you will play a key role in designing, building, and maintaining the infrastructure for our data analytics platform. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless integration with existing systems and applications. This role reports directly to the Senior Manager of IT Infrastructure and will have a significant impact on the scalability and reliability of our cloud infrastructure.

📋 KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

* Design and implement scalable cloud architectures using AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud Platform.

* Collaborate with data engineers and data scientists to develop and deploy data lakes, data warehouses, and data pipelines.

* Ensure high availability and disaster recovery for cloud-based systems and applications.

* Develop and maintain infrastructure as code (IaC) using tools such as Terraform, CloudFormation, or Azure Resource Manager.

* Troubleshoot and resolve complex infrastructure issues in a timely manner.

* Monitor and optimize cloud costs to ensure alignment with business objectives.

* Develop and maintain technical documentation and knowledge base for future reference.

* Stay up-to-date with the latest cloud technologies and trends and apply knowledge to improve existing infrastructure.

✅ REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

* 5+ years of experience in cloud infrastructure engineering with a focus on scalability, security, and reliability.

* Strong understanding of cloud computing platforms (AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud Platform).

* Experience with containerization using Docker, Kubernetes, or container orchestration platforms.

* Familiarity with data analytics platforms, such as data lakes, data warehouses, and data pipelines.

* Proficiency in programming languages such as Python, Java, and/or C#.

* Experience with infrastructure as code (IaC) tools such as Terraform, CloudFormation, or Azure Resource Manager.

⭐ PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

* Certification in cloud computing (AWS Certified Solutions Architect, Azure Solutions Architect, or Google Cloud Certified Engineer).

* Experience with DevOps practices and tools, such as Jenkins, Docker, and Kubernetes.

* Familiarity with machine learning and artificial intelligence concepts and techniques.

* Experience with data visualization tools, such as Tableau, Power BI, or D3.js.

💰 WHAT WE OFFER

We offer a competitive salary range of £50,000 to £80,000 per annum, depending on experience. We also provide a comprehensive health insurance package, a retirement plan, and 25 days of annual leave. Additionally, we offer a £1,000 learning and development budget, flexible working hours, and a remote or hybrid work policy.
