🎯 ROLE OVERVIEW

The Cloud Infrastructure Security Engineer will play a vital role in designing, implementing, and maintaining the security posture of our cloud infrastructure. This individual will report directly to the Manager of Cloud Security and will work closely with cross-functional teams, including Cloud Engineering, Networking, and Security Operations. The successful candidate will have the opportunity to drive the development of secure cloud architectures and contribute to the advancement of our company's cloud security strategy.

📋 KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Design and implement secure cloud infrastructure architectures, including VPCs, IAM roles, and cloud storage configurations to protect sensitive data.

Develop and maintain cloud security policies, procedures, and standards to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and industry best practices.

Collaborate with Cloud Engineering and Networking teams to integrate cloud security controls into cloud-based applications and services.

Conduct regular security assessments and penetration testing to identify vulnerabilities and develop remediation plans.

Stay up-to-date with emerging cloud security technologies and trends, and provide recommendations for their adoption.

Contribute to the development of a cloud security knowledge base and training materials for internal stakeholders.

✅ REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

8+ years of experience in cloud security, with a focus on cloud infrastructure security architectures and compliance.

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Assurance, or a related field.

Proficiency in cloud security technologies, including AWS IAM, Amazon S3, and Amazon EC2.

Experience with cloud security frameworks, such as the Cloud Security Alliance (CSA) Security, Trust & Assurance Registry (STAR).

Certifications in cloud security, such as the CompTIA Cloud+ Security or the AWS Security – Specialty certification.

⭐ PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

Master's degree in Computer Science or a related field.

Experience with cloud security tools, such as CloudCheckr, CloudPassage, or Dome9.

Familiarity with DevSecOps practices and the use of cloud security tools in automated testing and deployment pipelines.

Certifications in cloud infrastructure, such as the AWS Certified Solutions Architect – Professional or the Google Cloud Certified – Professional Cloud Architect.
