🎯 ROLE OVERVIEW

As a Cloud Infrastructure Security Specialist on our Life Sciences team, you'll be responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining the security controls for our cloud-based infrastructure. This includes ensuring the confidentiality, integrity, and availability of our customer data, as well as complying with relevant regulatory requirements. Reporting directly to the Head of Cloud Security, you'll work closely with cross-functional teams to identify and mitigate security risks, implement security best practices, and develop incident response plans.

📋 KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

- Design and implement security controls for our cloud-based infrastructure, including firewalls, access controls, and intrusion detection/prevention systems.

- Perform security assessments and vulnerability scans to identify potential security risks and develop remediation plans.

- Collaborate with development teams to implement security best practices and ensure secure coding standards.

- Develop and maintain incident response plans to minimize the impact of security incidents.

- Work closely with compliance teams to ensure adherence to relevant regulatory requirements, such as GDPR and HIPAA.

- Participate in security awareness training and education for Veeva employees.

- Stay up-to-date with emerging security threats and technologies, and recommend appropriate controls and mitigations.

- Collaborate with other cloud security teams to ensure consistent security practices across the organization.

✅ REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

- 8+ years of experience in cloud security, with a focus on infrastructure security.

- Strong understanding of cloud security best practices, including AWS IAM, AWS CloudFormation, and AWS CloudWatch.

- Experience with security frameworks and regulations, such as NIST Cybersecurity Framework and GDPR.

- Strong programming skills, including Python, Terraform, and AWS Cloud Development Kit (CDK).

- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Assurance, or related field.

- CISSP, CEH, or CISM certification.

⭐ PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

- Experience with containerization and serverless computing.

- Knowledge of DevOps tools, such as Jenkins, Docker, and Kubernetes.

- Familiarity with cloud security tools, such as Trend Micro, Check Point, and Palo Alto.

- Experience with compliance frameworks, such as HIPAA and PCI-DSS.

💰 WHAT WE OFFER

- Salary range: £60,000 - £80,000 per annum.
