🎯 ROLE OVERVIEW

As a Cloud Infrastructure Solutions Architect — EMEA Region, you will play a key role in shaping the future of Airbnb's cloud infrastructure strategy across Europe, the Middle East, and Africa. Reporting directly to our EMEA Cloud Infrastructure Director, you will work closely with cross-functional teams to design, implement, and manage scalable cloud solutions that meet the evolving needs of our business. Your expertise will be instrumental in driving innovation, improving infrastructure reliability, and ensuring seamless user experiences across our platforms. 📋 KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

* Design and implement cloud infrastructure solutions for Airbnb's EMEA region, ensuring scalability, reliability, and security

* Collaborate with cloud providers (AWS, GCP, Azure) to develop and maintain cloud architecture standards

* Work closely with engineering teams to integrate cloud infrastructure with existing systems and applications

* Develop and execute cloud migration strategies to optimize infrastructure costs and improve performance

* Conduct regular technical assessments and provide recommendations for improving cloud infrastructure

* Engage with the global cloud infrastructure team to share knowledge, best practices, and lessons learned

* Represent Airbnb in cloud industry forums and conferences, staying up-to-date with emerging trends and technologies

* Develop and maintain relationships with key cloud provider partners and vendors

* Participate in on-call rotation to ensure 24/7 cloud infrastructure support

* Collaborate with the Cloud Engineering team to drive innovation and develop new cloud-based features and services

* Develop and deliver training and workshops to educate cloud architects and engineers on cloud infrastructure best practices

✅ REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

* 8+ years of experience in cloud infrastructure architecture, engineering, or management

* Deep expertise in cloud computing platforms (AWS, GCP, Azure) and containerization (Kubernetes)

* Strong understanding of cloud security, compliance, and governance

* Experience with cloud migration, containerization, and serverless computing

* Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams

* Strong problem-solving skills, with the ability to analyze complex technical issues and develop creative solutions

* Bachelor's or master's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field

* Proficiency in programming languages (Python, Java, C++, JavaScript)

* Experience working with cloud-based DevOps tools (e.g., Terraform, Ansible)

* Knowledge of cloud-based data storage and analytics solutions (e.g., S3, BigQuery)

* Experience with cloud-based security solutions (e.g., IAM, Cloud Security Gateway)

* Certification in cloud computing (AWS Certified Solutions Architect - Associate or Google Cloud Certified - Professional Cloud Architect)

* Proficiency in data visualization tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI)

💰 WHAT WE OFFER

As a member of the Airbnb team, you can expect a competitive salary range of €60,000 - €80,000 per annum, plus additional compensation for performance and contributions.
