šÆ ROLE OVERVIEW
As a Cloud Operations Director, you will play a critical role in leading our cloud infrastructure team to ensure the seamless operation of our airline network. Reporting directly to the Chief Information Officer, you will be responsible for overseeing the cloud strategy, architecture, and operations to drive business growth, improve efficiency, and enhance customer experience. This role requires a high degree of technical expertise, leadership, and collaboration with cross-functional teams to drive cloud transformation initiatives.
š KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
. Develop and implement a cloud-first strategy that aligns with the airline's business objectives and drives cost savings.
. Design and deploy scalable cloud infrastructure to support our airline network, including Amazon Web Services (AWS) and Microsoft Azure.
. Lead a team of cloud engineers to ensure the smooth operation of cloud-based applications and services.
. Collaborate with IT teams to integrate cloud-based solutions with existing systems and applications.
. Develop and maintain cloud security and compliance policies to ensure the confidentiality, integrity, and availability of airline data.
. Stay up-to-date with emerging cloud technologies and trends to recommend innovative solutions to business leaders.
. Develop and manage the cloud operations budget to ensure cost-effectiveness and efficiency.
. Establish and maintain key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure cloud operations success and optimize performance.
ā REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
. 8+ years of experience in cloud operations, with a focus on infrastructure and architecture.
. Proven track record of leading cloud transformation initiatives in a large-scale organization.
. In-depth knowledge of cloud platforms, including AWS, Azure, and Google Cloud Platform (GCP).
. Strong experience with cloud security, compliance, and governance.
. Excellent communication and leadership skills, with the ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams.
. Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
ā PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
. Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
. Cloud security and compliance certifications, such as AWS Certified Security - Specialty or Azure Security Engineer Associate.
. Experience with cloud cost optimization and management.
. Familiarity with DevOps practices and tools, such as Jenkins, Docker, and Kubernetes.

We offer a competitive salary range of £55,000 - £80,000 per annum, depending on experience.
