šÆ ROLE OVERVIEW
The Cloud Platform Performance Engineer will be responsible for designing, building, and operating scalable cloud infrastructure to support the Twitter platform. This role will work closely with cross-functional teams to identify and prioritize performance bottlenecks, optimize cloud resources, and implement solutions to improve overall system reliability and efficiency. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of cloud computing, containerization, and monitoring tools. They will also have excellent communication and problem-solving skills, with the ability to collaborate with engineering teams to drive results.
š KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Design and implement scalable cloud infrastructure to support Twitter's growing user base.
Develop and maintain monitoring tools to track system performance and identify areas for improvement.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to prioritize and resolve performance issues.
Optimize cloud resources to reduce costs and improve efficiency.
Implement containerization solutions to improve deployment speed and reliability.
Develop and maintain documentation to ensure knowledge transfer and consistency.
ā REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field.
5+ years of experience in cloud computing, with a focus on performance optimization.
Deep understanding of cloud platforms (AWS, Azure), containerization (Docker), and monitoring tools (New Relic, Prometheus).
Excellent communication and problem-solving skills, with the ability to collaborate with engineering teams.
Experience with DevOps tools (Ansible, Terraform) and cloud security best practices.
ā PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
Master's degree in Computer Science or related field.
Experience with machine learning and data analysis.
Certification in cloud computing (AWS Certified Cloud Practitioner, Azure Certified Solutions Architect).

£60,000 - £80,000 per year, depending on experience.
