🎯 ROLE OVERVIEW

The Cloud Security Architect — Advanced Threat Detection will play a key role in developing and implementing cloud security strategies that protect our customers' sensitive information. This person will work closely with cross-functional teams to design and deploy secure cloud architectures, detect and respond to advanced threats, and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements. The Cloud Security Architect will report to the Head of Cloud Security and will work closely with senior leaders to shape the company's cloud security vision.

📋 KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Design and implement cloud security architectures that protect sensitive customer data

• Develop and maintain cloud security policies and procedures that align with industry best practices

• Collaborate with development teams to integrate security into the development lifecycle

• Detect and respond to advanced threats using cloud-based security tools

• Conduct regular security assessments and provide recommendations for improvement

• Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements, such as PCI-DSS and HIPAA

• Stay up-to-date with emerging cloud security threats and technologies

• Develop and deliver training programs for cloud security best practices

✅ REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

• 7+ years of experience in cloud security, with a focus on advanced threat detection

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field

• Cloud Security Certified Professional (CCSP) or equivalent certification

• Experience with cloud-based security tools, such as AWS IAM and CloudTrail

• Strong understanding of cloud security frameworks and architectures

• Excellent communication and collaboration skills

• Experience with scripting languages, such as Python or PowerShell

⭐ PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

• Master's degree in Computer Science or related field

• Experience with cloud-based threat intelligence platforms

• Cloud architect certification, such as AWS Certified Cloud Architect

• Experience with DevSecOps methodologies

Capital One offers a competitive salary range of $50,000 to $80,000 per year, as well as a comprehensive benefits package, including health insurance, retirement plan, and vacation days.
