π― ROLE OVERVIEW
As a Cloud Security Architect in our Compliance and Risk Management team, you will play a critical role in designing and implementing cloud security strategies to protect our customers' sensitive data. Working closely with cross-functional teams, you will ensure that our cloud infrastructure meets the highest security standards, adhering to regulatory requirements such as GDPR and PCI-DSS. You will report to the Head of Cloud Security and collaborate with senior leadership to drive security and compliance initiatives.
π KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Design and implement cloud security architectures for PayPal's cloud infrastructure, leveraging AWS and Azure platforms.
- Develop and maintain security policies, standards, and procedures to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
- Collaborate with development teams to integrate security features into applications and services.
- Conduct regular security risk assessments and penetration testing to identify vulnerabilities.
- Develop and implement incident response plans to mitigate security breaches.
- Work with the compliance team to ensure adherence to regulatory requirements.
- Develop and maintain relationships with cloud service providers to ensure optimal security and compliance.
- Stay up-to-date with emerging security threats and technologies, and advise the team on best practices.
- Collaborate with the security operations team to develop and implement security monitoring and incident response tools.
- Develop and maintain a security awareness program to educate employees on cloud security best practices.
- Provide subject matter expertise on cloud security to the business and technical stakeholders.
β REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
- 8+ years of experience in cloud security architecture, with a focus on compliance and risk management.
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Assurance, or a related field.
- Strong knowledge of cloud security frameworks, including AWS and Azure security best practices.
- Experience with security orchestration, automation, and response (SOAR) tools.
- Strong understanding of compliance regulations, including GDPR and PCI-DSS.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence cross-functional teams.
- Experience with security testing and penetration testing tools.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret complex technical information.
β PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
- Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Assurance, or a related field.
- Experience with DevSecOps and cloud-native security.
- Certification in cloud security, such as AWS Certified Security - Specialty.
- Experience with security information and event management (SIEM) systems.
- Strong understanding of cloud infrastructure, including AWS and Azure services.
