šÆ ROLE OVERVIEW
As a Cloud Security Engineer, you will play a critical role in designing, implementing, and maintaining secure cloud infrastructure solutions for our financial services clients in the United Kingdom. Reporting to the Head of Cloud Security, you will work closely with cross-functional teams, including cloud operations, security, and application development to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and industry standards. Your expertise will contribute significantly to protecting our customers' sensitive data and ensuring business continuity.
š KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Design and implement secure cloud infrastructure solutions on AWS and Azure platforms; Conduct vulnerability assessments and penetration testing to identify and remediate security threats; Collaborate with cloud operations teams to ensure secure deployment and configuration of cloud resources; Develop and enforce cloud security policies and procedures; Conduct security audits and provide recommendations for improvement; Participate in incident response and crisis management to minimize business impact; Stay up-to-date with emerging threats and technologies to ensure our cloud security posture remains robust.
ā REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
5+ years of experience in cloud security, with at least 2 years in a hands-on engineering role; BSc or MSc in Computer Science, Information Security, or a related field; Strong knowledge of AWS and Azure security features, including IAM, VPC, and Identity and Access Management; Proficiency in cloud security tools, including AWS CloudFormation and Azure ARM templates; Experience with DevOps practices, including CI/CD pipelines and containerization; Knowledge of cloud security frameworks, including NIST and CIS; Hold a Cloud Security Engineer certification or equivalent.
ā PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
CISSP or CISM certification; Experience with containerization and orchestration tools, including Kubernetes; Proficiency in programming languages, including Python, Java, or C#; Familiarity with cloud compliance frameworks, including PCI-DSS and GDPR; Experience working in a DevOps environment with tools like Jenkins and Docker.
