šÆ ROLE OVERVIEW
As a Cloud Security Engineer for Google Cloud Services in the Finance Sector, you'll play a critical role in ensuring the security of our clients' sensitive financial data. You'll work closely with our finance team to design and implement secure cloud architectures, develop security policies, and identify potential vulnerabilities. Reporting to our senior security engineer, you'll have a direct impact on our clients' trust in our services.
š KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Design and implement secure cloud architectures for finance clients, following industry best practices and Google's security guidelines.
- Develop and maintain security policies and procedures, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements such as GDPR and PCI-DSS.
- Conduct regular security audits and vulnerability assessments to identify potential risks and recommend mitigation strategies.
- Collaborate with our finance team to identify and prioritize security requirements for new features and services.
- Develop and deliver training programs to educate our finance team on cloud security best practices.
- Stay up-to-date with emerging threats and vulnerabilities, and advise our team on the latest security trends and technologies.
- Develop and maintain technical documentation for security processes and procedures.
- Participate in on-call rotations to provide 24/7 support for security-related issues.
- Collaborate with our incident response team to investigate and resolve security incidents.
- Stay up-to-date with industry certifications, such as CompTIA Security+ or CISSP, and advise our team on certification requirements.
ā REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
- 5+ years of experience in cloud security engineering, with a focus on financial services.
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Security, or a related field.
- Proficiency in cloud security platforms such as Google Cloud Security Command Center (Cloud SCC) or Amazon Web Services Security, Compliance, and Identity (SCI).
- Experience with cloud migration and cloud-native applications.
- Strong understanding of security frameworks, regulations, and standards such as NIST, ISO 27001, and PCI-DSS.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with experience working with cross-functional teams.
- Ability to travel up to 10% of the time for training and client meetings.
ā PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
- Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Security, or a related field.
- Cloud security certifications such as CompTIA Security+ or CISSP.
- Experience with DevOps practices and tools such as Jenkins or Ansible.
- Strong knowledge of Linux operating systems and networking fundamentals.

We offer a competitive salary range of £50,000 - £80,000 per annum, depending on experience. We also offer a comprehensive benefits package, including health insurance, a retirement plan, and 25 days of paid vacation per year.
