šÆ ROLE OVERVIEW
As a Cloud Security Operations Specialist in our Financial Services team, you will play a critical role in ensuring the security and integrity of our cloud-based systems and infrastructure. You will work closely with our security team to identify and mitigate potential security threats, develop and implement security policies and procedures, and provide expert guidance to our development teams on cloud security best practices. You will report to our Senior Manager of Cloud Security and will have the opportunity to make a significant impact on our organization's security posture.
š KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
* Develop and maintain cloud security policies and procedures to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and industry standards.
* Conduct security assessments and risk analyses of cloud-based systems and infrastructure to identify potential security threats.
* Collaborate with our security team to develop and implement security controls and countermeasures to mitigate identified security risks.
* Provide expert guidance and support to our development teams on cloud security best practices and architecture.
* Work with our compliance team to ensure that our cloud security controls and procedures meet regulatory requirements.
* Participate in incident response and crisis management exercises to ensure business continuity.
* Stay up-to-date with emerging security threats and trends, and advise our security team on the latest security vulnerabilities and mitigation strategies.
* Develop and maintain relationships with cloud vendors and service providers to ensure that our cloud security requirements are met.
* Create and deliver security awareness training to our development teams on cloud security best practices and procedures.
* Collaborate with our business partners to develop and implement security requirements for cloud-based systems and infrastructure.
* Participate in security design reviews and architecture discussions to ensure that cloud security is integrated into our overall security strategy.
ā REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
* 5+ years of experience in cloud security, with a focus on security operations and risk management.
* Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Security, or a related field.
* CISSP, CEH, or CISM certification, or willingness to obtain.
* Experience with cloud security frameworks and standards, such as AWS Well-Architected Framework and Cloud Security Alliance.
* Strong understanding of cloud security controls and countermeasures, including encryption, access control, and identity and access management.
* Experience with security monitoring and incident response tools, such as Splunk and SIEM.
* Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with development teams, security teams, and business partners.
ā PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
* Experience with cloud security testing and vulnerability assessment tools, such as AWS Security Hub and Azure Security Center.
* Knowledge of cloud security compliance frameworks, such as PCI-DSS and HIPAA.
* Experience with cloud migration and cloud security strategy, including cloud native security and serverless security.
* Certified Cloud Security Professional (CCSP) or Certified Information Security Professional (CISSP) certification.
