π― ROLE OVERVIEW
As a Cloud Security Specialist, you will be the key point of contact for cloud security compliance and governance, working closely with cross-functional teams to design and implement secure cloud architectures. You will report directly to the Chief Information Security Officer and play a crucial role in ensuring the security posture of State Farm's cloud infrastructure meets or exceeds industry standards. Your impact will be seen in the development of robust cloud security policies, procedures, and guidelines, thereby protecting critical business data and applications.
π KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Design and implement secure cloud architectures and configurations for various cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, Google Cloud) to ensure compliance with State Farm's security policies and industry standards (e.g., PCI-DSS, HIPAA).
- Perform regular security assessments and risk analyses of cloud-based applications and services to identify vulnerabilities and recommend remediation measures.
- Collaborate with development teams to ensure secure coding practices and implement cloud security controls (e.g., encryption, access controls).
- Develop and maintain cloud security policies, procedures, and guidelines to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and industry standards.
- Conduct training sessions for IT staff and developers on cloud security best practices and emerging threats.
- Stay up-to-date with cloud security trends, emerging threats, and industry best practices to ensure State Farm's cloud security posture remains robust and effective.
β REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Assurance, or a related field; Master's degree preferred.
- 7+ years of experience in cloud security, with a strong focus on compliance, governance, and architecture.
- In-depth knowledge of cloud security platforms (AWS, Azure, Google Cloud), cloud security tools (e.g., Cloud Security Gateway, Cloud IAM), and cloud security best practices.
- Strong understanding of security frameworks (e.g., NIST, ISO 27001), compliance requirements (e.g., PCI-DSS, HIPAA), and industry standards.
- Proven experience with security assessments, risk analyses, and remediation strategies.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively across different teams and stakeholders.
β PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
- Cloud security certifications (e.g., AWS Security Specialist, Google Cloud Security Engineer).
- Experience with cloud security automation tools (e.g., Terraform, AWS CloudFormation).
- Familiarity with DevOps practices and continuous integration/continuous deployment (CI/CD) pipelines.

We offer a competitive salary range of EUR 50,000 - EUR 80,000, depending on your experience and qualifications.
