šÆ ROLE OVERVIEW
As a Cloudflare Security Operations Center (SOC) Engineer - Cloud Monitoring, you will play a critical role in protecting Cloudflare's global network from threats and vulnerabilities. Working closely with the SOC team, you will be responsible for monitoring and analyzing network traffic, identifying security incidents, and implementing incident response plans to minimize the impact of security events. You will also work with cross-functional teams to improve the overall security posture of the organization. š KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
* Monitor and analyze network traffic to identify security threats and vulnerabilities
* Investigate and respond to security incidents in a timely and effective manner
* Collaborate with the SOC team to develop and implement incident response plans
* Analyze security event logs to identify trends and areas for improvement
* Work with cross-functional teams to improve the overall security posture of the organization
* Develop and maintain relationships with key stakeholders to ensure effective communication and collaboration
* Stay up-to-date with the latest security threats and trends to ensure Cloudflare's security systems are always current and effective
* Collaborate with the engineering team to develop and implement new security features and tools
* Participate in regular security audits and assessments to ensure compliance with industry standards
ā REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
* 4+ years of experience in cloud security, information security, or a related field
* Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Cyber Security, or a related field
* Strong knowledge of cloud security platforms, including AWS, Azure, and Google Cloud
* Experience with security information and event management (SIEM) systems, such as Splunk or ELK
* Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks
* Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams
ā PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
* CISSP or CISM certification
* Experience with cloud security frameworks, such as AWS Well-Architected or Azure Security Framework
* Strong understanding of cloud security best practices and compliance requirements
* Experience with cloud-based threat intelligence platforms
* Familiarity with DevOps practices and tools, such as Docker and Kubernetes

Cloudflare offers a highly competitive salary range of £55,000 - £70,000 per year, depending on experience. We also offer a comprehensive benefits package, including health insurance, a retirement plan, and a generous vacation policy. Cloudflare is committed to ongoing learning and development, with a budget of £2,000 per year for training and professional development. We also offer a flexible remote work policy, with the option to work from home or in our offices in the UK.
