šÆ ROLE OVERVIEW
As a CVS Retail Pharmacy Operations Manager, you will play a key role in overseeing the daily operations of CVS retail pharmacies in the UK. This includes managing and developing a team of pharmacy technicians and pharmacists, ensuring efficient inventory management, implementing operational processes to improve patient satisfaction, and meeting key performance indicators (KPIs). You will report directly to the Regional Director of Operations and work closely with other stakeholders to drive business growth and expansion. Your focus will be on delivering exceptional patient care and experiences while driving business results.
š KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
. Develop and implement operational processes to improve patient satisfaction and pharmacy efficiency.
. Manage and develop a team of pharmacy technicians and pharmacists to meet business objectives.
. Conduct regular audits and assessments to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
. Collaborate with regional directors to achieve business goals and objectives.
. Analyze key performance indicators (KPIs) to drive business growth and improvement.
. Develop and implement training programs to enhance the skills and knowledge of pharmacy staff.
. Ensure accurate and efficient inventory management to minimize costs and maximize revenue.
. Implement and maintain pharmacy systems and software to improve efficiency and accuracy.
. Build strong relationships with local stakeholders, including healthcare providers and community leaders.
. Identify and mitigate operational risks to ensure business continuity.
. Stay up-to-date with regulatory requirements and industry developments.
. Collaborate with IT to troubleshoot technical issues and implement technology solutions.
ā REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
. 5+ years of experience in retail pharmacy operations or a related field.
. Bachelor's degree in pharmacy, business administration, or a related field.
. Current registration with the General Pharmaceutical Council (GPC).
. Strong leadership and management skills with experience in team development and coaching.
. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to build relationships with stakeholders.
. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with experience in data analysis and performance metrics.
. Experience with inventory management and pharmacy systems.
. Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with multiple priorities and deadlines.
ā PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
. Postgraduate degree in pharmacy or business administration.
. Experience in a leadership or management role within a retail pharmacy environment.
. Certification in pharmacy management or a related field.
. Experience with pharmacy management software and systems.
. Strong knowledge of UK pharmacy regulations and guidelines.
. Ability to work in a remote environment with minimal supervision.
