🎯 ROLE OVERVIEW

As our Digital Transformation Lead, you'll play a key role in shaping the future of retail innovation at Barnes & Noble. You'll work closely with our cross-functional team to develop and implement cutting-edge digital solutions that drive customer engagement, increase sales, and enhance the overall shopping experience. Reporting directly to our Vice President of E-Commerce, you'll have a significant impact on our business strategy.

📋 KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Develop and execute digital transformation strategies to drive business growth and improve customer experience.

Design and implement effective omnichannel retail solutions, integrating online and offline channels for seamless customer interactions.

Collaborate with internal stakeholders to identify and prioritize business requirements for digital projects.

Work with external partners to develop and implement innovative e-commerce solutions, ensuring timely and within-budget delivery.

Monitor and analyze key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure the success of digital initiatives and optimize future projects.

Develop and manage project plans, including timelines, budgets, and resource allocation.

Conduct market research to stay up-to-date with the latest industry trends and best practices.

Collaborate with our IT department to ensure seamless integration with existing systems and infrastructure.

Develop and maintain strong relationships with key suppliers and vendors.

Develop and manage the team that will be responsible for the execution of the digital strategy.

✅ REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

8+ years of experience in digital transformation, e-commerce, or a related field.

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Business Administration, or a related field.

Proven track record of driving business growth through digital initiatives.

Strong understanding of retail operations, including e-commerce, supply chain, and customer experience.

Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams.

Experience with project management methodologies and tools, such as Agile, Scrum, or Waterfall.

Experience with e-commerce platforms, such as Shopify, Magento, or Salesforce Commerce Cloud.

⭐ PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

Master's degree in Computer Science, Business Administration, or a related field.

Experience with machine learning, artificial intelligence, or other emerging technologies.

Certification in digital marketing, e-commerce, or a related field.

Fluency in Spanish in addition to English.
