🎯 ROLE OVERVIEW

As our new Director of Environmental Sustainability, you will play a critical role in shaping our company's environmental strategy and operations. Reporting directly to our Chief Operating Officer, you will be responsible for developing and implementing sustainable practices across our entire organization. Your focus will be on reducing our carbon footprint, promoting recycling and waste reduction, and ensuring compliance with all relevant environmental regulations. Your expertise will be key to achieving our goal of becoming a carbon-neutral company within the next 5 years.

📋 KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Develop and implement a comprehensive sustainability strategy across all aspects of our business, including operations, supply chain, and customer engagement.

Identify and implement opportunities to reduce waste, promote recycling, and improve energy efficiency.

Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop and implement sustainable practices, policies, and procedures.

Conduct regular audits and assessments to ensure compliance with environmental regulations and standards.

Develop and maintain relationships with key stakeholders, including suppliers, customers, and regulatory agencies.

Stay up-to-date with the latest developments in environmental sustainability and apply this knowledge to drive innovation and improvement within our organization.

✅ REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

10+ years of experience in environmental sustainability, waste management, or a related field.

Master's degree in Environmental Science, Sustainability, or a related field.

Proven track record of developing and implementing successful sustainability initiatives.

Ability to communicate complex technical information to non-technical stakeholders.

Strong leadership and project management skills.

Fluency in German and English.

Experience working in a similar role or industry.

Certification in Environmental Sustainability or a related field.

Familiarity with European Union environmental regulations and standards.

Experience with data analysis and reporting.

We offer a competitive salary range of €60,000 - €80,000 per year, plus benefits including health insurance, retirement plan, and generous vacation days.
