šÆ ROLE OVERVIEW
In this key role, you will be responsible for leading our risk management function for international payments, working closely with cross-functional teams to identify and mitigate potential risks. As Director of Risk Management, you will develop and implement risk management strategies that ensure the integrity and security of our international payment systems. You will report to the Head of Risk Management and will have a direct impact on the company's reputation and financial stability.
š KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Develop and implement risk management strategies for international payments, including market risk, credit risk, and operational risk.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including sales, operations, and technology, to identify and mitigate potential risks.
Conduct regular risk assessments and monitoring to ensure the effectiveness of risk management controls.
Develop and maintain relationships with key stakeholders, including regulators, vendors, and business partners.
Identify areas for process improvement and implement changes to enhance risk management and operational efficiency.
Develop and implement reporting and analytics to support risk management decision-making.
Collaborate with the finance team to ensure accurate and timely financial reporting.
Stay up-to-date with regulatory requirements and industry trends, providing guidance and advice to the business as needed.
ā REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
Minimum 10 years of experience in risk management or a related field, with a strong background in international payments.
Bachelor's degree in a relevant field, such as finance, economics, or business administration.
Proven experience in developing and implementing risk management strategies, including market risk, credit risk, and operational risk.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret complex data and identify potential risks.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams and stakeholders.
ā PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
Master's degree in a relevant field, such as finance, economics, or business administration.
Certification in risk management, such as the Certified Risk Manager (CRM) designation.
Experience working in a financial services company, preferably in the payments industry.
Strong knowledge of regulatory requirements, including anti-money laundering (AML) and know-your-customer (KYC) regulations.
