As a Disney E-commerce Platform Performance Optimization Specialist, you will play a critical role in ensuring the seamless execution of our e-commerce platforms, driving business growth through data-driven insights, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to enhance customer experiences. Reporting directly to the Head of Digital Performance, you will develop and implement strategies to optimize platform performance, leveraging expert knowledge of web performance, accessibility, and scalability. Your work will directly impact our online business, influencing thousands of customers and driving significant revenue growth.

šŸ“‹ KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Optimize e-commerce platform performance for maximum speed, scalability, and reliability, ensuring seamless customer experiences and driving business growth through data-driven insights. Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including product, engineering, and analytics, to identify and prioritize performance improvement opportunities. Develop and execute comprehensive performance optimization plans, leveraging expertise in web performance, accessibility, and scalability. Conduct thorough analysis of platform performance, identifying bottlenecks, and implementing effective solutions. Stay up-to-date with emerging trends and technologies in e-commerce platform performance optimization, applying knowledge to drive innovation and improvement. Ensure compliance with Disney's accessibility standards and regulations, ensuring inclusive experiences for all customers. Develop and maintain documentation of performance optimization efforts, including metrics, analysis, and recommendations.

āœ… REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

5+ years of experience in e-commerce platform performance optimization, web performance engineering, or related field. Proven track record of driving business growth through data-driven insights and performance optimization. Expert knowledge of web performance optimization techniques, including caching, compression, and content delivery networks. Strong experience with e-commerce platforms, including Magento, Shopify, or Salesforce Commerce Cloud. Proficiency in programming languages such as JavaScript, Python, or Ruby, with experience in performance optimization tools like WebPageTest, Lighthouse, or New Relic. Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.

⭐ PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field. Experience with cloud-based infrastructure, including Amazon Web Services or Microsoft Azure. Strong understanding of accessibility standards and regulations, including the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG). Familiarity with e-commerce analytics tools, including Google Analytics or Adobe Analytics. Experience with performance optimization testing and experimentation.
