šÆ ROLE OVERVIEW
As an Ecommerce Platform Data Scientist, you will play a critical role in driving business decisions and strategies across the UK customer base. You will be responsible for collecting, analyzing, and interpreting complex data sets to provide actionable insights that inform product development, marketing campaigns, and customer experience initiatives. You will report directly to the Director of UK Customer Insights and collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to drive business growth and customer satisfaction. Your work will have a direct impact on our ability to deliver exceptional customer experiences and drive business results.
š KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Design and develop data models and algorithms to extract insights from large datasets
Analyze and interpret complex data sets to identify trends, patterns, and correlations
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop and implement data-driven strategies
Develop and maintain data visualizations and dashboards to communicate insights to stakeholders
Design and execute A/B tests to measure the impact of customer-facing initiatives
Develop and maintain data governance policies and procedures to ensure data quality and integrity
Collaborate with product teams to inform product development and feature prioritization
Design and execute predictive modeling to forecast customer behavior and preferences
Develop and maintain customer segmentation models to inform marketing campaigns and customer engagement strategies
ā REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
8+ years of experience in data science, analytics, or a related field
PhD in a quantitative field (e.g., statistics, mathematics, computer science) or equivalent experience
Proven track record of delivering data-driven insights that inform business decisions
Strong programming skills in languages such as Python, R, or SQL
Experience working with big data tools and technologies such as Hadoop, Spark, or NoSQL databases
Advanced knowledge of statistical modeling, machine learning, and data visualization
Experience working with cloud-based data platforms such as Amazon Web Services or Google Cloud Platform
ā PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
Experience working with e-commerce data and platforms such as Magento or Shopify
Familiarity with customer segmentation models and predictive analytics
Experience with A/B testing and experimentation
Certification in data science, analytics, or a related field

Competitive salary range: £55,000 - £75,000 per annum
