🎯 ROLE OVERVIEW

As an Enterprise Data Engineer - Cloud Migration Specialist, you will be responsible for designing and implementing large-scale data migration projects from on-premises to cloud-based infrastructure. You will work closely with our cross-functional teams to develop and implement data migration strategies, ensuring minimal downtime and maximal data integrity. This role reports to the Senior Enterprise Data Engineering Manager and will have a significant impact on the success of our cloud migration initiatives.

📋 KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

. Design and implement large-scale data migration projects from on-premises to cloud-based infrastructure using tools such as AWS Data Pipeline and Google Cloud Dataflow.

. Develop and maintain data migration strategies and plans to ensure minimal downtime and maximal data integrity.

. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop and implement data migration solutions.

. Develop and maintain documentation of data migration processes and procedures.

. Identify and implement opportunities for process improvements and cost reductions.

. Troubleshoot and resolve data migration issues in a timely and efficient manner.

. Work closely with the data engineering team to develop and maintain data pipelines and architectures.

. Participate in code reviews and contribute to the development of high-quality code.

. Stay up-to-date with the latest trends and technologies in data engineering and migration.

✅ REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

. 5+ years of experience in data engineering and migration, with a focus on cloud-based infrastructure.

. Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field.

. Proficiency in programming languages such as Java, Python, and Scala.

. Experience with data migration tools such as AWS Data Pipeline, Google Cloud Dataflow, and Apache Beam.

. Strong understanding of cloud-based infrastructure and services such as AWS, Google Cloud, and Azure.

. Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.

. Strong communication and collaboration skills.

⭐ PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

. Master's degree in Computer Science or related field.

. Certification in cloud computing such as AWS Certified Solutions Architect or Google Cloud Certified - Professional Cloud Developer.

. Experience with big data technologies such as Hadoop, Spark, and NoSQL databases.

. Familiarity with agile development methodologies such as Scrum and Kanban.

. Experience with continuous integration and continuous deployment (CI/CD) pipelines.
