šÆ ROLE OVERVIEW
As an Executive Talent Management System Consultant, you will play a critical role in shaping the future of talent management and organizational development at Southwest Airlines. Reporting directly to the Vice President of Human Resources, you will be responsible for analyzing and implementing innovative solutions to enhance the company's talent management strategy. Your work will have a significant impact on employee growth, development, and retention, ultimately contributing to the company's continued success and leadership in the industry.
š KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Develop and implement a comprehensive talent management system to align with the company's strategic objectives and business needs.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including HR, IT, and business stakeholders, to design and deploy scalable solutions for talent development, succession planning, and performance management.
- Analyze data and metrics to inform talent management decisions, identify areas for improvement, and develop actionable recommendations.
- Design and deliver training programs to enhance employee skills, knowledge, and competencies, with a focus on leadership development and organizational effectiveness.
- Conduct needs assessments, identify gaps in current talent management processes, and develop strategies to address them.
- Provide thought leadership and expertise on best practices in talent management, staying up-to-date with industry trends and emerging technologies.
- Develop and manage budgets, partnerships, and vendor relationships to support talent management initiatives.
- Serve as a subject matter expert for talent management-related projects and initiatives, ensuring alignment with company goals and objectives.
- Develop and maintain stakeholder relationships across the organization to ensure collaboration and buy-in on talent management initiatives.
- Collaborate with other departments to develop and implement a comprehensive performance management system.
ā REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
- Master's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Industrial-Organizational Psychology, or a related field.
- 8+ years of experience in talent management, organizational development, or a related field, preferably in the airline or travel industry.
- Proven track record of designing and implementing successful talent management initiatives, with measurable results.
- Expertise in talent management systems, including recruitment, onboarding, performance management, and succession planning.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and project management skills, with experience in data-driven decision-making.
- Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills, with ability to engage stakeholders at all levels of the organization.
- Experience with talent management technology, including Learning Management Systems (LMS) and Performance Management Systems (PMS).
ā PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
- Certification in a talent management certification program, such as the Society for Human Resource Management (SHRM) Certified Professional (SHRM-CP) or the Global Professional in Human Resources (GPHR) certification.
- Experience with cloud-based talent management platforms, such as Workday or SuccessFactors.
- Familiarity with data analytics tools, such as Tableau or Power BI.
- Experience in designing and delivering training programs for leaders and employees.
