🎯 ROLE OVERVIEW

As a German Cloud Architecture Consultant — Omnichannel Retailer, you will play a key role in shaping our cloud strategy and architecture to support the growth of our e-commerce platform. You will work closely with our IT leadership team to design and implement cloud-based solutions, ensuring seamless integration with our existing systems. You will report directly to our Head of IT and will be responsible for leading cloud architecture projects and collaborating with cross-functional teams. This role is critical to the success of our omnichannel retail strategy, and you will have a significant impact on our ability to provide a seamless shopping experience for our customers.

📋 KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

. Develop and maintain cloud architecture designs and blueprints for our e-commerce platform, ensuring alignment with our IT strategy and compliance with industry standards.

. Collaborate with our development teams to integrate cloud-based services, such as AWS Lambda, API Gateway, and S3, into our existing applications.

. Design and implement cloud-based data warehousing and analytics solutions to support business intelligence and reporting.

. Develop and maintain technical documentation, including architecture diagrams, technical specifications, and implementation guides.

. Collaborate with our security team to ensure cloud security and compliance with industry standards.

. Conduct proof-of-concepts and pilot projects to evaluate new cloud technologies and services.

. Provide technical guidance and support to our IT teams, including troubleshooting and resolving technical issues.

. Stay up-to-date with emerging cloud technologies and trends, and recommend new technologies and services to our IT leadership team.

. Collaborate with our procurement team to negotiate cloud service contracts and ensure cost-effectiveness.

. Develop and maintain relationships with cloud service providers, including AWS, Azure, and Google Cloud.

✅ REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

. 5+ years of experience in cloud architecture, design, and implementation, with a focus on retail or e-commerce.

. Strong knowledge of cloud service providers, including AWS, Azure, and Google Cloud.

. Experience with containerization, serverless computing, and microservices architecture.

. Strong understanding of data warehousing and analytics, including data modeling, ETL, and reporting.

. Experience with cloud-based security and compliance, including identity and access management, encryption, and auditing.

. Strong technical writing and communication skills, with ability to create technical documentation and present to non-technical audiences.

⭐ PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

. Experience with cloud-based DevOps tools, such as Jenkins, GitLab, and Docker.

. Knowledge of programming languages, such as Java, Python, and C#.

. Experience with data science and machine learning, including data preprocessing, modeling, and deployment.

. Certification in cloud architecture, security, or compliance, such as AWS Certified Cloud Practitioner or Google Cloud Certified Professional Cloud Developer.

💰 WHAT WE OFFER

At Ross, we offer a competitive salary range of €55,000 - €75,000 per year, depending on experience.
