🎯 ROLE OVERVIEW

As a German Digital Accessibility Specialist — E-Learning, you will play a critical role in ensuring that our online courses and educational materials are accessible to people with disabilities. This is a remote position that requires strong technical skills and a passion for accessibility. You will report to our Senior Manager of E-Learning and work closely with our cross-functional team to develop and implement accessible e-learning solutions. Your impact will be seen by millions of people who rely on our educational resources to improve their lives.

📋 KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Conduct accessibility audits of our e-learning platforms, identifying areas for improvement and recommending solutions.

• Develop and implement accessibility guidelines and standards for our e-learning content, ensuring compliance with relevant laws and regulations.

• Collaborate with subject matter experts to create accessible content, including video, audio, and graphic elements.

• Conduct user testing and gather feedback to inform accessibility improvements.

• Stay up-to-date with the latest accessibility technologies and best practices, recommending new tools and approaches to the team.

• Develop and deliver training sessions for our staff and partners on accessibility principles and practices.

• Work with our technical team to integrate accessibility features into our e-learning platforms.

✅ REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

• A bachelor's degree in a field such as Computer Science, Information Technology, or Special Education.

• At least 3 years of experience in accessibility, preferably in an e-learning environment.

• Strong technical skills, including experience with screen readers, keyboard navigation, and other assistive technologies.

• Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills, with the ability to communicate complex technical information to non-technical stakeholders.

• Strong project management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines.

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with diverse stakeholders.

⭐ PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

• Certification in accessibility, such as WCAG 2.1 or Section 508.

• Experience with e-learning authoring tools, such as Articulate Storyline or Adobe Captivate.

• Familiarity with accessibility regulations and standards, such as the Americans with Disabilities Act or the Disability Discrimination Act.

• Experience with user testing and usability research.

• Strong knowledge of German accessibility laws and regulations.

💰 WHAT WE OFFER

We offer a competitive salary range of €50,000 - €80,000 per year, depending on experience. We also provide a comprehensive health insurance plan, a retirement plan, and a generous vacation policy.
