π― ROLE OVERVIEW
As a German Digital Accessibility Specialist β E-Learning, you will play a critical role in ensuring that our online courses and educational materials are accessible to people with disabilities. This is a remote position that requires strong technical skills and a passion for accessibility. You will report to our Senior Manager of E-Learning and work closely with our cross-functional team to develop and implement accessible e-learning solutions. Your impact will be seen by millions of people who rely on our educational resources to improve their lives.
π KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
β’ Conduct accessibility audits of our e-learning platforms, identifying areas for improvement and recommending solutions.
β’ Develop and implement accessibility guidelines and standards for our e-learning content, ensuring compliance with relevant laws and regulations.
β’ Collaborate with subject matter experts to create accessible content, including video, audio, and graphic elements.
β’ Conduct user testing and gather feedback to inform accessibility improvements.
β’ Stay up-to-date with the latest accessibility technologies and best practices, recommending new tools and approaches to the team.
β’ Develop and deliver training sessions for our staff and partners on accessibility principles and practices.
β’ Work with our technical team to integrate accessibility features into our e-learning platforms.
β REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
β’ A bachelor's degree in a field such as Computer Science, Information Technology, or Special Education.
β’ At least 3 years of experience in accessibility, preferably in an e-learning environment.
β’ Strong technical skills, including experience with screen readers, keyboard navigation, and other assistive technologies.
β’ Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills, with the ability to communicate complex technical information to non-technical stakeholders.
β’ Strong project management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines.
β’ Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with diverse stakeholders.
β PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
β’ Certification in accessibility, such as WCAG 2.1 or Section 508.
β’ Experience with e-learning authoring tools, such as Articulate Storyline or Adobe Captivate.
β’ Familiarity with accessibility regulations and standards, such as the Americans with Disabilities Act or the Disability Discrimination Act.
β’ Experience with user testing and usability research.
β’ Strong knowledge of German accessibility laws and regulations.

We offer a competitive salary range of β¬50,000 - β¬80,000 per year, depending on experience. We also provide a comprehensive health insurance plan, a retirement plan, and a generous vacation policy.
