🎯 ROLE OVERVIEW

As a Germany Remote Cloud Financial Engineering Manager at Goldman Sachs, you will be responsible for leading a team of cloud engineers in the development and maintenance of cloud-based financial systems. You will report directly to the Head of Cloud Engineering and will be expected to make strategic decisions regarding cloud technology adoption and infrastructure. Your impact will be seen in the development of scalable, secure, and reliable cloud-based financial systems that meet the needs of our clients and drive business growth.

📋 KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Develop and maintain cloud-based financial systems using cutting-edge technologies such as AWS, Azure, and Google Cloud Platform. Lead a team of cloud engineers in the design, implementation, and deployment of cloud-based systems. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify business requirements and develop solutions that meet those needs. Develop and maintain technical documentation and provide mentorship to junior engineers. Stay up-to-date with emerging trends and technologies in the field of cloud computing and make recommendations for future adoption. Develop and implement cloud security and compliance strategies to ensure the integrity and security of our cloud-based systems. Participate in the development of the cloud engineering team's technical vision and strategy. Provide technical guidance and support to other teams within the firm. Collaborate with the cloud engineering team to develop and maintain cloud-based DevOps pipelines. Develop and implement cloud-based monitoring and logging strategies to ensure the performance and reliability of our cloud-based systems. Collaborate with the cloud engineering team to develop and maintain cloud-based cost optimization strategies.

✅ REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

Minimum of 8 years of experience in cloud engineering, with a focus on financial systems. Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field. Strong technical skills in cloud-based technologies such as AWS, Azure, and Google Cloud Platform. Experience with cloud-based DevOps pipelines and automation tools such as Ansible, Terraform, and CloudFormation. Strong experience with cloud-based security and compliance frameworks such as PCI-DSS, HIPAA, and SOC 2. Experience with cloud-based monitoring and logging tools such as Prometheus, Grafana, and ELK. Strong leadership and collaboration skills, with experience in leading teams of engineers. Strong technical communication skills, with experience in developing and presenting technical documentation.

⭐ PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field. Experience with cloud-based machine learning and artificial intelligence frameworks such as TensorFlow and PyTorch. Strong experience with cloud-based data storage and analytics tools such as AWS Redshift and Google BigQuery. Experience with cloud-based security and compliance frameworks such as AWS IAM and Google Cloud IAM. Strong experience with cloud-based DevOps pipelines and automation tools such as Jenkins and GitLab CI/CD.

💰 WHAT WE OFFER
