🎯 ROLE OVERVIEW

The Germany Renewable Energy Program Manager will play a critical role in driving the success of our renewable energy programs in Germany. This person will report directly to the Head of International Energy Development and will be responsible for managing a team of 3-4 professionals, overseeing the development and implementation of renewable energy projects, and ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements. In this role, you will have the opportunity to make a significant impact on Germany's transition to a low-carbon economy while expanding PG&E's presence in the European energy market.

📋 KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Develop and execute a comprehensive renewable energy strategy for Germany, including the development of solar, wind, and hydroelectric power projects.

Provide technical expertise to project development teams, including feasibility studies, site assessment, and permitting.

Manage project budgets, schedules, and resources, ensuring timely and within-budget delivery of projects.

Collaborate with internal stakeholders, including business development, engineering, and procurement teams, to identify and pursue new business opportunities.

Develop and maintain relationships with key stakeholders, including government officials, industry partners, and local communities.

Ensure compliance with all relevant regulatory requirements, including the German Renewable Energy Act (EEG) and the EU's Renewable Energy Directive.

✅ REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

12+ years of experience in the renewable energy industry, with a minimum of 8 years in project development or management.

Master's degree in a relevant field, such as engineering, business, or environmental science.

Proven track record of success in developing and delivering large-scale renewable energy projects.

Excellent technical and business skills, with expertise in project management, financial analysis, and contract negotiation.

Fluency in German and English, with the ability to communicate complex technical information to both technical and non-technical audiences.

⭐ PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

Experience working in the European energy market, with knowledge of EU and German energy policies and regulations.

Proven ability to build and maintain relationships with government officials, industry partners, and local communities.

Experience managing budgets of €5 million or more.

Fluency in additional European languages, such as French or Spanish.

We offer a competitive salary range of €50,000 to €80,000 per year, depending on experience.
