šÆ ROLE OVERVIEW
The Global Airline Partnership Manager will play a critical role in expanding Delta's reach in Africa by forging strategic partnerships with local airlines, airports, and travel organizations. This individual will be responsible for identifying opportunities for collaboration, negotiating agreements, and managing ongoing relationships to drive growth and revenue. Reporting to the Director of International Partnerships, the Global Airline Partnership Manager will work closely with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless execution and maximum impact.
š KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
* Develop and execute a comprehensive partnership strategy to drive growth in Africa, including identifying new opportunities, evaluating potential partners, and negotiating agreements.
* Foster strong relationships with local airlines, airports, and travel organizations to increase collaboration and revenue opportunities.
* Analyze market trends, competitor activity, and customer needs to inform partnership decisions and drive business growth.
* Collaborate with internal stakeholders to ensure consistent messaging, branding, and operational alignment.
* Monitor and report on partnership performance, providing regular updates to senior leadership and stakeholders.
* Develop and manage budgets, forecasts, and other financial planning tools to ensure accurate and timely reporting.
* Stay up-to-date with industry developments, trends, and best practices to remain competitive and informed.
* Provide exceptional customer service and support to internal and external partners.
* Other duties as assigned.
ā REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
* 8+ years of experience in business development, partnerships, or a related field.
* Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Marketing, or a related field.
* Proven track record of success in developing and executing strategic partnerships, with a strong focus on metrics-driven results.
* Excellent communication, negotiation, and relationship-building skills.
* Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment with multiple stakeholders and priorities.
* Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to analyze complex data and make informed decisions.
* Travel is required, with a minimum of 20% of the time spent on international travel.
* Proficiency in Microsoft Office, with advanced skills in Excel and PowerPoint.
ā PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
* Master's degree in Business Administration or a related field.
* Experience working in the airline industry or a related field.
* Fluency in a second language, with a strong proficiency in Swahili or another African language.
* Certification in Business Development, Partnerships, or a related field.
